Booking Policy

Clear terms, both ways.

Payment
The consult fee ($150 for 30 minutes, $225 for 60 minutes) is paid when you book and reserves your designer's time.
Credit toward your project
If you sign a Design + Preconstruction agreement with PHR Design Build within 90 days of your consult, the full consult fee is credited toward it. One credit per project.
Rescheduling
Reschedule at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice, using the link in your confirmation email or by calling us.
Cancellations
Cancel 24 hours or more before your consult for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are not refunded, but the fee becomes a credit toward a new consult booked within 60 days. Missed consults without notice are not refunded.
Running late
Your consult ends at its scheduled time so the next client isn't delayed. If our designer is late, we'll extend your time or reschedule at no charge.
If we need to reschedule
If PHR Design Build has to cancel or move your consult, you choose a new time or a full refund.
In-person consults
In-person consults take place at your home within our service area. Please have the spaces you'd like to discuss accessible. If weather or an emergency prevents the visit, we'll offer a video session or a new time.
What a consult is
A consult is professional advice and design guidance. It is not a construction bid, a formal estimate, or a design deliverable. Any next step, such as a Design + Preconstruction agreement, is proposed separately in writing.

Common Questions

Before you book.

Do I need a consult before hiring PHR Design Build?
No. The consult is optional, paid advisory time with a designer. If you're ready to plan a project, you can start a project inquiry directly at no charge.
Is it by video or in person?
Meet by video call or in person at your home within our service area — your choice when you book.
Does the fee count toward a project?
Your full consult fee is credited toward a Design + Preconstruction agreement signed within 90 days.
What happens after the consult?
You leave with clearer direction and answers to your questions. If a project makes sense, we'll recommend a next step — usually a project consultation or a Design + Preconstruction agreement — in writing. There's no obligation to continue.
Is this a bid or an estimate?
No. A consult is professional advice and design guidance. Pricing for construction comes from a written scope, which is what Design + Preconstruction produces.
